As we don’t have any channels hooked up to the box I am a day behind everyone else with this and had to find alternative methods of viewing this excellent 5 parter for BBC, Children of Earth. I wont bore you with my own review as there are many out there that could and have worded it far better than I ever could.
But I will say this, Torchwood redeemed itself in this little mini series, the writing was tight which before was often not the case and I have been a fan from the start. Excellent story, supporting characters, effects (except that of the child in the tank, I thought that looked awful) secrets revealed, true personalities brought to the forefront and Ianto… Poor Ianto…
I loved it!
The final question remains tho: Is this it for Torchwood? was that the finale? the way it ended leaves it open to ‘more’ yes but, not in the way a normal season finale finishes so that we expect a new season come September or whatever. To me it looks like the end, but I really and truly hope I am wrong.
